100 Holes in a Day!
That’s right, 100 holes…it’s not a typo…and it’s not your typical scramble, best ball or alternate shot event. It’s 100 straight holes of uninterrupted golf in one day.
To celebrate our Centenary in 2020, Captain Stuart and Lady Captain Christine Apperley are leading the way in this challenging task, by ‘teeing it up’ at 4.00am on the Hawkstone Course on Sunday 28th June. They are also hoping to raise a significant amount of money for their charity ‘The League of Friends of RJAH.

2020 CENTENARY UPDATE
The Hawkstone course opened for play on 01 May 1920 having been established by the then owner, Sir William Cresswell Gray, who was a ship owner from West Hartlepool. The course, originally just nine holes, was designed to “amuse” the young ladies in his family during his long absences on business!
